Ukulele
After School ‘Ukulele Class at Central Park
Open to grades 1-5.
No prior experience is necessary. Learn to play basic ‘ukulele chords, vamps, strum patterns, and how to sing Hawaiian songs. In all classes, we stress the fundamentals. Each session, we will teach how to perform at least two Hawaiian meles (songs) in four basic Major keys (“C”, “F”, “G”,
and “A”) with four strums.
Intermediate/Advanced -Returning Students Start 8/27
Intermediate/Advanced students will learn to play in the 12 Major keys and a lot more songs. We will also teach basic music theory in a way that is easily understood and applied.

15 students, grade 1-2 on Thursdays 2:15pm—2:45pm
15 students, grade 3-5 on Thursdays 2:50pm—3:40pm
New Students
Fall Session (9 classes): Sept 10,17,24,Oct 1,22,29,Nov 5,12,Dec 10
*Returning students get preferential placement.
Registration is open to Sept 10.
Loaner ukes are available for the first 2 classes.
Students must provide their own ukuleles to practice.

There will be a $10 materials fee, per child, per session.
Fee to be paid on 1st class.
